Mirza Taghi Khan known as Amir Kabir (his other titles were Atabak Azam, Amir Nezam and…) was one of the most influential ministers of Iran.
He was born in 1807 in Hezave village Arak (Markazi province)
He was spent his childhood with Ghaem Magham family. He taught secretary, letter writhing and issuing court rulings from Ghaem Magham.
During the reign of Fathali Shah he was appointed to be the minister of Azarbayjan. After that during the reign of Naser-Al-Din Shah he became the minister of the king and after a while, He began to make a lot of reforms in the country affairs.
He exterminated bribe, rejected the interference of foreign countries in Iran’s affairs, dispatched students to other countries to educate, corrected the financial affairs, adjusted the budget, published Vaghaye Etefaghie newspaper, expanded trade, stublished some mills.
He suppressed Mohammad Hassan Khan and stopped his rebellion in Khorasan. Then he established a a lot of departmrnts such as : post department, passport office, intelligence agancy.
One of the most important proceeding of Amir Kabir was the establishment of of Dar-Al-Fonoun school.
In 1852/january/10 AD Mahd Olia (King’s mother) and Mirza Agha Khan Nouri hated Amir Kabir so they drew up a plan to kill him.
When Naser Al-Din Shah was plastered he signed a letter that Amir Kabir’s murder had been written there.
Ali Khan Hajeb-Al-Dole and 4 other person went to the small bathhouse and surrounded Amir Kabir, then they allowed him to choose a manner to determine his own death.
He ordered to cut off his two arm’s veins; then the floor got full of blood.
After that they put a towel to Amir’s mouth and closed his way of breathing.
